GICO for One Za’abeel | Dubai’s futuristic project

Already historic for having broken many important design and construction records, twice awarded the accolade of “The Year’s Most Innovative Project”: One Za’abeel will be the new landmark on the Dubai skyline and for the city’s food and beverage services, to which GICO kitchens are contributing. 

The Project

One Za’abeel represents technical and technological innovation in modern architecture. The extremely complex project extends over an area of 530,000 square metres and comprises two towers of 59 and 69 storeys respectively.

The project also develops horizontally with the biggest cantilever bridge ever built: “The Link” is a suspended structure over 200 metres long that connects the two towers of One Za’abeel at a height of 100 metres. Restaurants, offices, shops, luxury residences, a prestigious hotel, a panoramic terrace and an ‘infinity pool’: all this, and more, is the One Za’abeel project, which is expected to be completed at the end of 2021.

For One Za’abeel’s important project GICO has produced 17 cooking suites, soon to be installed on several storeys of the building, where they will be used to serve different food outlets.

The products are of outstanding quality that meets the client’s requirements perfectly. They are made to measure to fit the space available and the ‘vibrated’ effect steel of the Fusion worktops guarantees the highest standards of hygiene. This complex equipment is complete with gas and electric cooking hobs and neutral elements all on the same worktop, which is made of 30/10 thick steel, to fulfil our client’s demand for maximum resilience.
