GICO teams up for professionals. Talenta is born

On the occasion of Host 2023, the SOMEC group, of which GICO is a part, is launching Talenta, the new name of the ‘Professional Kitchen Systems and Products’ division, for a more integrated approach of the 5 companies that make it up, focusing on the ingenuity and skills of professionals.

GICO, a leader in the Professional Kitchens sector for over 50 years, closes 2023 with a novelty that gives even more strength to the brand and communicates the company’s objectives at high volume: the “Professional Kitchen Systems and Products” division of SOMEC, the group of which GICO has been a part since 2020 – together with Inoxtrend, Oxin, Pizza Group and Primax – takes the name Talenta.

A choice that unites the entire group of specialised professional realities, to redirect attention to human ingenuity and know-how, at the service of the talent of restaurateurs and star chefs. A true mission, which for GICO is the fundamental pivot around which each new professional kitchen proposal revolves.

The announcement was made at Host Milano, the world fair dedicated to the world of catering and hospitality. At the event, for the first time with an integrated approach, all five companies that make up Talenta participated and will continue to operate under their own company name.

With this new set-up, some of the more technical production activities will be strengthened and made available to all Talenta companies. Similarly, some of the transversal strategic services have been centralised, including Purchasing, Marketing and R&D, with the aim of making the division more efficient and providing better service to customers.

The birth of Talenta represents an important junction in SOMEC’s development path in the three order segments: Engineered systems for naval architecture and civil facades; Professional kitchen systems and products; and Crafts: design and creation of customised interiors.
