Record-breaking attendance at Sigep 2023

The year 2023 has marked a real comeback for the food & wine trade show sector. Confirmation of this comes first and foremost from the 44th SIGEP, Rimini’s International Artisan Gelato, Pastry-Making, Bakery and Coffee Trade Show, held from 20 to 25 January at Rimini Fiera. The show registered record-breaking attendance, reaffirming the format’s traditional success.

SIGEP covered a total of 130,000 sq.m of exhibition space at the Rimini trade show centre, and its 28 pavilions were totally sold-out. The over 1000 brands featured at the five-day event strengthened an extensive network of partnerships and synergies, breathing a new lease of life into the Italian food service sector. 

Moreover, the influx of foreign visitors from 155 countries attached yet further importance and substance to this network of contacts, as well as the many delegations present, for a total of 450 top buyers from 78 different countries.

Within this framework of contacts, partnerships, constructive exchanges and important innovations, another great achievement was obtained by GICO, which celebrated its first time at the event, together with the SOMEC Group’s Food Service Equipment companies. 

For GICO, Sigep offered an opportunity to present to the international public its new line of high-end modular H+ kitchens, combining aesthetic harmony with high-level performance underpinned by technological innovation and design. 

At the heart of the Group’s elegantly minimalist and functional stand, visitors were able to experience first-hand our H+ integrated with the Freddo Safe system by Primax. Also featured at the stand were the Pyralis ovens by Pizzagroup and the CompaTech ovens by Inoxtrend.

Our presence at the trade show and the high turnout at our stand by buyers, industry operators and enthusiasts demonstrated once again both the strength of GICO’s offering and the importance of meeting in person and exchanging ideas. Thank you to all those who came to see us!
