GICO and CHIC: The In The Kitchen Tour goes back on the road!

After the summer break, the culinary tour of chefs and companies created by the CHIC Association – Charming Italian Chef – starts again in September with two exceptional stages, between North and South.

 

3 September 2018 – Brescia

 
The BtoB tour of CHIC by Albereta Relais & Châteaux in Erbusco (BS). A special stage of In The Kitchen Tour 2018 which was dedicated to pizza was held on Monday 3 September.

Chefs and Master Pizza Makers worked side by side, improvising gourmet pizzas with the ingredients provided by the companies present. Complex mixtures and signature toppings made by at least 4 hands for a day of comparison that has united two worlds that are getting closer and closer: pizzeria and haute cuisine.

As always, GICO was always alongside professionals and they have supplied the equipment and the induction plates to make creations which left everyone speechless.

Fabio Abbattista and Franco Pepe acted as hosts, respectively Chef and Master pizza maker at Ristorante Leone Felice and La Filiale dell’Albereta Pizzeria. Chef Abbattista uses an induction cooker in his restaurant and describes it as the present and the future of the kitchen because it is advantageous in terms of time, temperature maintenance and practicality. According to the resident chef, a basic requirement is that the machinery is long-lasting and that it can withstand continuous and prolonged use.

GICO knows this because it is attentive to the needs of the chefs with whom it seeks continuous dialogue, so as to offer ever new solutions that facilitate the work of professionals every day.

 

26 September 2018 – Naples

 

The seventh stage of In The Kitchen Tour was held on Wednesday 26 September. For the first time, the CHIC tour arrives in Naples, in a sea view location, at the spectacular Palazzo Petrucci.

Chef patron Lino Scarallo welcomes the guests and many distinguished colleagues to kick off the culinary jam session of the stage. The day followed the tried and tested schedule; the chefs involved improvised great dishes using the raw materials provided by the participating companies. And as always, GICO cookers were the allies of the chefs, who on this occasion enjoyed a breathtaking sea view.

The next appointment? Tuesday 2 October at Radicepura in Giarre (Catania), Sicily.
