GICO and CHIC: two breath-taking stops before the summer holiday

For its fourth and fifth legs, the IN THE KITCHEN TOUR, the culinary journey thought up by the Association CHIC – Charming Italian Chef, went north. Just before the summer holiday, GICO kitchens played host to great chefs, in prestigious locations and breath-taking surroundings.

 

 

20 June 2018 – Cuneo

 

The fourth appointment was held at the splendid Tenuta Carreta in the province of Cuneo, which the award-winning Ristorante 21.9 of Chef Flavio Costa graces with its presence.

GICO was there throughout the day, from the culinary jam session between producers and chefs, all the way to the dinner created in harmonious collaboration by Flavio Costa, Paolo Viviani and Giorgio Servetto. The chefs riffed on gourmet creations using the raw materials provided by the participating companies, transforming them into mouth-watering dishes thanks to GICO technologies. The aim? To reproduce the entire production chain, from the producer to the finished dish, via the professional tools that help transmogrify quality ingredients into a culinary masterpiece.

5 July 2018 – Belluno

 

For the fifth leg, GICO played at home! The IN THE KITCHEN TOUR arrived in Veneto, to the exclusive Rosapetra Spa Resort di Cortina, in the heart of the Dolomites.

Protagonist in its own turf, GICO felt at home in the mountains, playing host to the great chefs who rose to the occasion. More than 25 chefs and pizzaioli made the journey from induction plate to table. GICO was there, its stations ready to offer the best tools to the professionals, who improvised a dish with the ingredients placed at their disposal by the companies present on the day.

With the Alps as background, the chefs proved their mettle with exquisite dishes during the dinner prepared by 5 chefs at the La Corte del Lampone restaurant, inside the hotel. The Resident Chef Alessandro Favrin played host to his colleagues Vincenzo Candiano (2 Michelin stars at the Locanda Don Serafino in Ragsa Ibla), Luigi Dariz (of the Restaurant Da Aurelio in Passo Giau), Renzo Dal Farra (chef of the award-winning restaurant La Locanda San Lorenzo in Alpago), and Marco Sacco (2 Michelin-star chef and owner of the Ristorante Piccolo Lago in Verbania).

 

GICO and CHIC join hands in educating consumers in the flavours and culture of haute cuisine.

 

The Tour will continue on 3 September at the Albereta Resort in Erbusco (BS) but quality never takes a break!
