GICO teams up for professionals
Talenta is born

On the occasion of Host Milano 2023, the SOMEC Group, to which GICO belongs, launches Talenta, the new ‘Professional kitchen systems and products’ division, offering a more integrated approach for the 5 companies in the group, focused on the ingenuity and skills of professionals.

A leader in the professional Kitchen sector for more than 50 years, GICO ends the year 2023 with a novelty that further strengthens the brand and communicates the group’s high number of business goals: the ‘Professional kitchen systems and products’ division of SOMEC, the group to which GICO has belonged since 2020 – together with Inoxtrend, Oxin, Pizza Group and Primax – is called Talenta.

This choice brings together the entire group of specialised professionals in order to shift the focus on human ingenuity and know-how at the service of talented starred restaurateurs and chefs. It is a real mission, which for GICO is the fundamental pivot around which each new and individual professional kitchen solution revolves.

The announcement was made at Host Milano, the international trade fair dedicated to the world of catering and hospitality. The event was attended, for the first time with an integrated approach, by all 5 companies comprising Talenta, which will continue to operate under their own name.

With this new set-up, several of the more technical production activities will be strengthened and made available to all the Talenta companies. Likewise, some of the strategic cross-departmental services, including Purchasing, Marketing and R&D, have been centralised in order to make the division more efficient and provide a better service for customers.

The birth of Talenta is an important step in SOMEC’s development path in the three order segments: Engineered systems of naval architecture and civil façades; Professional kitchens systems and products; Crafts: the design and creation of customised interiors.

What motivates us is a genuine passion for people and their creativity, the same passion that prompted us to set up the Crafts division, dedicated to the design and creation of high-end customised interiors.”

This is a new step in the history of GICO, which, with over half a century of business and professionalism behind it, continues to provide the most useful and functional solutions for masters of the kitchen.
