Med Cooking 2019: GICO takes off

22 March 2019

GICO confirms a new partnership in 2019 and accompanies the Mediterranean Cooking Congress in its VI edition dedicated to water and to fishing, from the Italian coasts to Greece in pursuit of the protection of the sea.

MED COOKING 2019’s new program “Fueling the Mediterranean” aims to inform, promote, and protect the sea with the first stop at Castellammare di Stabia on the 24 and the 25 of March. The 2019 edition of the Mediterranean Cooking Congress takes off here, in an event organized by the By Tourist society, now in its VI edition and a frequent traveler along the Mediterranean coasts. The protagonists of this edition are both water and fishing, adopting a territorial marketing perspective on how to “protect the ocean, fueling the Mediterranean.”

As always GICO will work side by side with accomplished chefs in the restaurant industry, and for the first appointment, will supply a MIA Monobloc Kitchen in the cooking show area along with induction hobs in the meeting sector.

The chefs using GICO products will be:

Mauro Uliassi | 3 Michelin stars, Senigallia;
Nino Di Costanzo | 2 Michelin stars, Dani Maison in Ischia;
Gennaro Esposito | 2 Michelin stars, La Torre del Saracino in Vico Equense;
Domenico Iavarone | Josè Restaurant in Torre del Greco;
Pietro D’Agostino | 1 Michelin star, La Capinera in Taormina;
Vincenzo Guarino | restaurant CastaDiva Resort & Spa of luxury 5 star Mandarin Oriental on Lake Como;

Domenico De Gregorio | Slow Food Chiocciola d’oro, Restaurant Lo Stuzzichino in Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi;
Maicol Izzo | 1 Michelin star, Piazzetta Milù in Castellammare di Stabia.

The event will move to Venice on September 30, and to Taormina on October 28.  Next it will sail towards Greece on October 1. The themes of 2019’s edition are “water and fishing.” Water meant as a primary resource for the human race and fundamental to feed and fuel the Mediterranean, observing the hydraulic resources of the Italian coasts and, with specific marketing projects, focusing on the protection of these resources, making use of specialized research and educational institutions, associations and societies.
GICO is proud to support this project, consistently dedicated to the environment and preserving Italy’s gastronomic heritage through the right technology and innovations.

See you on the 24 and 25 March at Castellammare di Stabia!
